The next Staff Development Day is scheduled for Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Details are still under development-check back before winter break for more information!
Elementary teachers will attend an in-person, grade-level specific training for TWIG Science. Session descriptions, times and locations of sessions will be posted prior to winter break. Light refreshments will be provided. Teachers do not need to bring anything to the training with them as all materials and resources needed will be provided by the TWIG facilitators.
TWIG Grade Level Trainings:
8:30-11:00am: Kinder, 1st, 2nd Grade Teachers will attend grade level specific training (sites TBD).
11:00-12:00pm: Lunch and Travel Time
12:00-3:00pm: 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade Teachers will attend grade level specific training (sites TBD).
*Mild/Moderate special education teachers (including RSP teachers) should attend the TWIG training that they feel would best fit their supporting students on their current caseloads. Please consult with your site administrators.
Other Elementary Teaching Staff Sessions-8:30-11:00am (to return to their sites for 12:00-3:00pm sessions)
Intervention prep teachers will attend a collaboration session at Jack London Elementary.
Intervention/Reading teachers will attend a collaboration session with Janeen Zuniga at a site TBD.
Music teachers will attend a collaboration session at Antioch High School.
PE Teachers will attend a collaboration session at Orchard Park School.
Moderate/Severe Special Education Teachers will attend an alternative ELPAC training at the District Office Tech Lab
TK Teachers will attend a report card development and collaboration session at Diablo Vista Elementary.
Secondary teachers will attend in-person sessions on various topics of need or interest on January 10, 2023. A registration form will be sent to all secondary teachers the week of December 5th and posted in the monthly Teacher Newsletter. The registration form and session description page is linked below as well for staff's review. Teachers will have until December 9th to make their selections and submit their registration forms. Teachers who do not complete their registration forms by December 9th will be assigned to specific sessions based on availability and space. Teachers should be sure to submit their registrations on or before December 9th to ensure they are able to attend their desired sessions. Once registrations are confirmed, teachers will receive an email with their selected sessions' locations. All sessions for secondary teachers will run from 8:30-11:00am. Light refreshments will be provided.
